This the worst Chinese restaurants I have ever been in and I have been in some pretty bad ones. Let me just describe my experience for you. I arrived at the Golden China with a friend to catch up over diner and when we walked in I should have turned around and walked right back out. I just wanted to play it cool and not rock the boat and hoped that their food would taste better than the restaurant looked. Half the restaurant's lights were off and it was only seven o'clock. We were shown to a booth where the vinyl was worn through and the stuffing was trying to escape out of it's long confinement in the booth. We sat down and both ordered the dinner special at $11.95 I got sesame chicken and my friend got some type of shrimp on a bed of vegetables. The soup if you could call it that, came with the meal and was served in a cracked and chipped bowl which is a safety hazard. You can imagine how I didn't even eat more than a spoonful of the dishwater. The "fried" rice that also came with the meal had never even seen a frying pan. It was more like boiled brown rice with some stray vegetables that sneaked in. The sesame chicken was beyond description and the shrimp was non existent. When we payed on the way out the lady wouldn't print my friend off a receipt but instead scribbled some illegible numbers down on a piece of paper and made some smug joke about him even wanting a receipt. So you can see why I would not recommend you eat at the Golden China. Hope this was helpful.
Have been going here for lunch for years. They do not have a huge buffet but the food is wonderful. One of my all time favorite Chinese restaurants. The staff is always very friendly. Can't say enough good things about Golden China.
Try the Sesseme chicken! It's delicious! Also, the sweet and sour sauce is awesome.
I have been eating at Golden China for as long as I can rememeber! The food was not always the best, but as time has went by it has gotten remarkable! I love their fried rice, homemade duck sauce, and especially their special Honey Chicken! I would rate it with 5 stars, however most people think of fancy restaurants, and it is definitely not the 'fanciest'. It is just a small town Chinese mom and pop's cafe, with exceptional quality. I'd prefer to give it 4.5.
Going to start with the good stuff before I tear into this restaurant. Nice atmosphere, nice wait staff, decent selection for what they have. I got some sweet and sour chicken and one of the chicken I pulled out a 6in long piece of plastic. I say "chicken" but it was fried plastic. No chicken inside of the fried batter. Just plastic.
