Has a cafeteria type style to it, since you start at the smoker, getting your hand cut meat, then move inside to get your sides separately then pay at the end of the line.
Great meat!!! Well season and smoked! Good sides, though they were a little expensive.
Traveling in the area for the weekend and wanted to eat something local. The reviews were excellent for Hard 8. It definitely didn't disappoint. The pulled pork was incredible. Great taste and the amount of food for the money is perfect. Highly recommended.
Stopped to eat while traveling and the place definitely catches your attention. Very interesting different approach to ordering a meal. "What you see is what you get" but these guys know what they are doing. They are quick to explain how it works, on the outside anyway, which is where you order your choice of meat(s) then you take your tray in for sides, drinks & payment. We weren't overly impressed with anything past ordering the meat and seating outside but still we would stop there again.
•You will smell strongly of smoke, when you leave. Even if you sit inside, it’s not that well ventilated, which is kind of a turn off if you have other things to do afterward.
Amazing location with plenty of parking. wet brisket, sliced or chopped, makes a superb sandwich. Jalapeño sausage has simply the proper amount of warmth. Pulled red meat is juicy whilst pro with Texas aptitude. The pork chops and need steaks are cooked to order, and taken out to you after a short relaxation. we're going to completed, and a definite favored!
Great chopped beef brisket that's cooked right out front as you walk in! Excellent pinto / red beans that are complementary as you pick up your side(s). My brother in law said his steak was really good too.
