We just moved to the area. During the first week we lived here, while we were living out of boxes and working on our house, we got Fuzzy's take-out 4 nights in a row (I know). :-) We liked what we ordered because it went down like a relatively healthy, light, nutritious meal (we ordered combos of fish tacos, chicken fajita tacos, black beans, cilantro lime? rice). Our favorite, really a delight, was the black beans. The first night, they were PIPING HOT, out of this world. They had such nice flavor, the kind achieved by long-simmering with aromatics (my complaint with too many places is that food is too salty, too full of jarred spices in lieu of quality ingredients and time). The food was very, very good. One reason I didn't give them 5 stars is that there was not a great deal of CONSISTENCY. I mentioned we ate virtually the same thing 4 nights in a row. The rice, beans WERE consistent, with the exception that one night the beans weren't so deliciously hot, and piping hot was better. The tacos were as diverse as whoever put them together, and as other reviewers have noted, they were quite cold. Not warm, not slightly warm, COLD. My message to management would be: You feature great, fresh food. Out of this world black beans, very good rice. Work with staff on precisely how much is to go into a taco, work on consistency and uniformity of composition, and serve hot food HOT. One night the tacos were quite generous, the next night very skimpy, virtually no meat, nada. All that said, we are definitely going back. P.s.. While we were in line waiting for our take-out, we texted our college student daughter (out-of-state) and joked that she should see her parents, the very oldest people in the restaurant, ha. I actually like that the place is full of college students, like the youthful energy they bring. :-)
Food was great, but it wasn't what I ordered. Fuzzy's is always great for a quick bite to eat without costing too much
Fuzzys has a great menu and it is usually good. The chain has gone down in food quality since they added so many stores. Kinda sad cause it used to be amazing!
Great place to go and have a drink with friends or just to go have a few tacos with family. This is however a very collegiate hangout and I have been with my kids and had students using fowl language around us, so that wasn't cool. But I also understand how popular it is with the college aged students so I take that into consideration when I go now. I LOVE their chips and queso and it's pretty much impossible to go and not have some while waiting! I recommend the shrimp tempura tacos on corn! One recommendation for the owners, however - I liked the tacos with more sauce and it seems lately they don't have as much. I guess hate a preference by person, but I love it!
Food was ok. Service was reasonably quick on a busy day. Portions for similar plates did not appear to be the same, however the portions for the nacho plates exceeded expectations. I would visit again.
