I have used his services several times over the years, including his CHL class. Couldn't be happier with the AMD-65 he assembled and coated using a parts kit a few years back.
I have had him work on a couple of 1911's. The work was very good, fairly priced, and he has fulfilled his time commitments on both occasions. No hesitation to use his services again.
He is a straight up no BS gunsmith, easy to talk to and is very diligent in his work.
He took care of of the issue quickly for a good price. I had taken an old shotgun that had not cycled correctly since I had bought it. I had been unable to find any broken parts and it turned out it was missing a part. Cost me a third less than I had expected to pay.
He did it for a fair price and took the time to do it right.
Michael took my VietNam M1911A1, rebuilt it and made it into a custom quality firearm that looks as great as it shoots.
I will be using Shumaker again.
I found him to be honest and a craftsman.
I've had just the opposite in early 2014.
